What is Consumer Safety?
Consumer safety is demanding transparency and truth. Consumers have a right to know about harmful drugs and defective products, especially when a threat to health and wellness is present. In 1972, congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Act to “protect the public against unreasonable risks of injuries and deaths associated with consumer products.” Though businesses are required to report product flaws and adverse events, not all information is shared. We work to protect the public from risks of injury and death linked to popular products.
